So where did I leave off? Oh yea...I was zebra bald (hair on the left, shirt hair in the middle, hair on the right), and in pain.
So let's fast forward 2 more years. By then have done a lil bit of research and had a general idea of what I had. I THOUGHT it was psoriasis. I was flaky in my eyebrows, along my hair line, at the crown of my head and burning spots behind both ears. So I am in a thrift shop believe it or not when I run cross TGel. It read treats dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and psoriasis.
WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO! I was so so happy! So I went home and washed my hair immediately......it was dry as hell but not Sahara dry. So I just put some conditioner in my hair after shampooing. So after using TGel I noticed my flakes were gone. I just KNEW I had found the answer. Sadly that was NOT THE answer for me. Doesn't mean it won't work for YOU but if you are a black woman reading my journey trying to figure out how to beat this....keep reading baby. If you are of the Caucasian persuasion then odds are your journey stops here. But feel free to keep reading. More links to products will be coming up :)
So, I go to my hair dresser again just KNOWING I'm not going to hear the same words I have heard for the last 2 years....I was STILL hearing them. She told me it's a little thicker...but it's not growing in length...UGH!!!!!!
So BACK to the damn dermatologist I go. Who tells me that I do not have psoriasis but what I DO have is called seborrheic dermatitis......wth is THAT!? I asked her. I can tell you this.....not a damn thing that came out of her mouth next was accurate for a woman of color so I won't bother you with those details.
